Black Watch to launch flagship at Sanctuary Cove
Black Watch Boats is preparing to launch its new flagship, the BW50,
in time for the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show this May.
The BW50 Sportsfisher will adhere to Black Watch's tried and trusted
deep-vee hull design - perfect for the offshore gamefisherman, says the
company.
Managing Director, Graham McCloy, said that the new 50' fills a gap for
a luxury sportfisher with the performance and sea keeping ability never
before experienced in an Australian built production boat of this size.
"This boat has a proven hull design which will out perform it's
competitors in rough sea-states, and has luxurious appointments which
compliment the outstanding performance," said Mr McCloy.
Black Watch have designed the interior as a three cabin and two bathroom
layout. "This is the most popular layout for a boat of this size.
Each cabin is bright, spacious and provides unparalleled luxury accommodation,"
said Mr McCloy.
Black Watch have included, as standard, most of the luxury features demanded
by customers of a boat of this calibre. With standard inclusions such
as air conditioning, washer/dryer, sub-zero refrigerated drawers, flat
screen televisions, D.V.D. player, surround sound stereo system, leather
sofa's etc.
Standard power are the new fully electronic Caterpillar C12's @ 700hp
each with Caterpillar 3406E's @ 800hp each as an option.
Mr McCloy said the 3406E's will be the standard engines choice on the
exported American boats, with up to 960hp aside as upgrades.
These engines should produce speeds of up to 38 knots.
Mr McCloy said that they expect demand to outstrip production, particularly
with the popularity of this size boat in America.
